American Sniper
I just finished reading the book “American Sniper” by Chris Kyle
American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History by Chris Kyle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is not a story with a plot, it’s a true story of a Navy Seal Sniper told by the Seal himself. It is written as if he was talking to a group of Seals and the language demonstrates this too.
The book starts when Chris was young and was still in high school and takes you through his 10 years he served his country in the Navy as a Seal. You also get a short insight into his civilian life afterwards.
It gave me an incite to what our guys are going through or have gone through over in Iraq fighting for our country. This the the real deal of what was going on in Iraq not what the media or politicians wanted us to think.
As time goes on this book will or should be part of our military history.
Chris and a friend were killed on February 2, 2013, at the Rough Creek Lodge shooting range in Erath County, Texas
Rest in Peace Chris and thank you and your family for your service to our country.
