Radiomaster TX12
Wanted a smaller and lighter radio so I started looking at the Jumper T-Lite. Jumper T12 Pro & Radiomaster TX12. After watching and reading reviews I decided on the Radiomaster TX12 it was a little bigger than the Jumper T12 and I figured it would fit my hands better. Beside I wanted to try out a Radiomaster radio and figured this was a good candidate. It has a Multi Protocol module but the lite version, only has the C2500 chip so it only supports frsky, futaba, redpine and a few others. Which is alright with me most of the whoops I fly have frsky rx in them. I only have 2 which have Flysky rx’s, haven’t decided what I’ll do about that. I can buy a couple of Radiomaster R81 rx and put in them or I can use my 4n1 multi protocol module.
The Radiomaster TX12 arrived today upon taking it out of the box I noticed 2 specks on the screen. Not sure what they are but are inside the screen from what I can tell.
Tried shaking the radio so see if they would move and they didn’t. Copied all the models from my Jumper T16 Pro into the Radiomaster TX12, the basic model copied fine after the conversion. Did have to redo most of the switches and Special functions. Don’t kow if I would have had the same issues if I was transfering the models from a Radiomaster T16S or not. I know when I transfer from the Taranis to the Jumper the conversion then lost some stuff too.
I did manage it get it setup enough to be able to fly the Mobula6 and Tinyhawk S going to take a few more flight to get use to the new stick throw. Do like the way it feels in my hands and it’s about half the weight of the T16.
UPDATE:
Was able to go outside and fly the Cine8 after cruising around on 4 battery packs I didn’t feel that I have the same control that I did using the Jumper T16 Pro. With it I was fly in Horizontal mode most of the time and sometimes in Air mode. With the TX12 I had to stay in the Stabilized mode or felt I didn’t have good control. I was having the same issue inside more with the Mobula6 than the Tinyhawk S but I didn’t have as much control. Will the same control come with time? Maybe, maybe not when I filled out the warranty form one of the choices was a refund so I went that route. So it will be going back and I’ll just stick with the Jumper.
