SCX24 Chevy C10 Crawling
I took the SCX24 Chevy C10 down to my 1/10 scale crawling course I am building in the backyard. The little guy naturally couldn’t go everywhere his big brothers can go but I was really surprised at how well it crawled for being only 1/24 scale. I had a Yeti Jr Can-Am which I locked the diffs thinking I could make it a crawler. After the first set of rocks I gace up on it entirely. It might have been possible to make it crawl but not without dumping a ton of money in it and then it wouldn’t look like a side by side any more. The C10 breezed over the first set of rocks and went on to admaze me for it’s size. I also have taken it to a local park and crawled the creek bed there. Need to take it up to one of my other crawling spots and see if it can climb some for the concrete walls there.
I have started building an inside crawling course for the SCX24 too. I have one 4 foot section done and working on ideals for the second 4 foot section. I like the C10 so much that I just ordered the SCX24 Deadbolt to go with it. The have different wheelbases and naturally different bodies. I have a 1/10 scale Deadbolt so now it will have a little brother. I figure the different wheelbase and body will make them handle different so when I get tired for one I can get the other out. Ordered some weel weights for the Deadbolt so we’ll see how they will help.
