[singlepic id=5 w=300 h=200 float=lef]On December 31, 2010 a tornado came through the area. It started forming about a mile west of Fenton just south of Hwy 30. Mostly was straight line winds blowing things over and shingles off roofs until it got to Sunset Hills where it became a full fledged tornado. The are there looked like a war zone.

The picture was taken in Fenton Park which lies just west of the Meramec River. This is/was a backstop that is in the ball fields that adjoin the park. It appears that a set of bleachers might have been blown into the backstop causing all the damage. The photo was take on 2-14-2011. The backstop and the bleachers seem to be the only damage in the park or ball fields.
