Ender 3 v2 Print Failure
Was about 12 hours into a 36 hours print when I noticed that it was printing in space and not filament was coming out of the hotend. Upon investigation I discovered that the Hotend fan had quit. When I installed the fan I put a plug on the wiring to make it easier to change in the future. Because of where I put the plug a wire had broken loose which caused the fan to quit running and the cool section of the hotend got and and caused a jam.
Took the hotend apart and cleaned it out and replaced the nozzle. Recalibrated the Z-offset. While I was working on the printer I decided to change the fan wiring for the motherboard fan. Hot sure how it was hooked up but it would run at different speeds. I hooked it up the the poser rail that puts out a constant 24v that way the fan will run at full speed any time the printer in on. This should help keep the motherboard cool.
Needed some more hooks for hanging my whoops on the wall. A couple of them made a good test print. They came out great so I’m back in business. Probably restart the 36 hour print tomorrow or Thursday.
